Food Filled Summer 2019
Since the last post in June, have been stuffing my face with some delicious food all around this world. In the last couple of months had the opportunity to go to Zurich, Seattle, San Francisco, Singapore, Bali, and New York. Lots of good eating!
Somethings you just have to “do it for the Gram”. Tessa and I went to Bali in July (thanks Delta SkyMiles!) and enjoyed the floating breakfast at the Ritz Carlton Bali. This is my favorite breakfast ever, surpassing brunch at Canoe in ATL. What is a floating breakfast you might ask? Perfectly designed to take pictures with, you enjoy a brunch in your pool which floats. Though the floating breakfast we had seemed to want to float away to you need to keep a hand on the breakfast boat. Would strongly recommend if you have the opportunity to eat your food as said food floats, indulge!
Have been on a crab kick this summer. Finally I have enough money to enjoy crabs without worrying about the dollar and cents. Seasoned crab in sauce has been my poison this summer. Kicked off the summer crab festivities in Singapore. For the longest time, I wanted to go to Long Beach Seafood in Singapore. Though every time I would be in Singapore, I would just run out of time. If you are in Singapore, be sure to check out their world famous Chili Pepper Crab. Long Beach is coined to have created one of the national dishes of Singapore. We loved Long Beach so much, we went back twice.
Returned back to the US of A and have been spending more time in Seattle. Longing for Long Beach, Tessa and I found a crab boil place in Seattle. Mix seafood and Vietnamese folks together, and you get the Vietnamese equivalent of a crawfish boil. In Seattle, Crawfish King is an institution.
Absolutely love seafood boils now. Can enjoy amazing sauces and crustaceans all in one bag!
Onwards towards PSL Season
Every year, pumpkin spice latte [PSL] season comes closer and closer to summer. Traditionally a fall time drink, Starbucks can sell you in late summer [except not in Singapore, has not made it there yet]. Conference season is back in swing for myself. I have been fortunate to have completed about 90 days of my Harness Journey and getting into my groove.
