The last quarter e.g ~90 day or so certainly has been a journey. Really enjoying the switch into the Product Management world having the ability to drive and create a solution/platform.

The Personal Front

My sister moved in with me, again, and my best friend moved in with me for a month. Along with my buddy moving in, he brought a good dog friend of mine to live. So now Kofi got to live with another dog for about a month.

Sister sold her place wanting to get a bigger place, trying to time the purchase and balance the rising interest rates and lowering home prices. Can’t time the market but hopefully she will find something, soon.

From the last post, the Summer 2022 update, got my car fixed and settled into the new house. Though the first ~60 days in the house had a slew of items that needed repairing. The worst a flange got stuck and flooded my first floor. The builder took care of the fix and repairs since was a plumping error on their side. Several patches and missing items, the house has stabilized.

The Work Front

First time in a long time that I do not have a 100% field facing job. Since the pandemic, the travel has tapered off. My last role as a Field CTO, this started to pick back up with the customer, partner, and conference circuits picking up.

Really enjoying being a PM and learning how to guide and influence fully what we build. Championing for the user is not new, but now it is balancing the delivery with that.

The Travel Front

Light on the travel agenda. I was able to visit both of my nephews in Tallahassee and Charlottesville

Pretty sure I am not going to make Diamond Medallion for the 2023 flying year. Delta was nice enough to extend status from the 2019 flying year a few times to Jan 2023. More on this later, was able to snag a pair of Global Upgrades for my father and I on a trip we are taking together to Capetown South Africa early next year. Wanted to take him somewhere as he is getting older. Though, the Global Upgrade saga for anyone who is familiar is not a straight forward process. Thank goodness someone on the Diamond Medallion Form I participate in pointed out that even though we cleared, we need to get our tickets re-issued. Mine was re-issued after calling in three times but my father’s has not. Will continue to HUCA [hang-up-call-again] to get this resolved.
