2024 Already, Welcome to 2024!

It’s been a few months since the last check-in. Hope everyone is doing well. Starting off the the end of the Fall 2023 Check-in, Future was #1 on my Spotify Wrapped 2023.

Kaui - Halloween 2023

I really do love Hawaii. My first trip to Hawaii was back in 2005 when I was a sophomore at Georgia Tech for my mom’s 50th birthday. After that, have returned several times. Mainly to Maui. This trip was to a new island that I have not visited before, Kaui. Thanks to some smart shopping and advanced booking, we got some great airfares and great hotel/car rental prices.

Broken a long tradition of Bonvoy Hotels to stay at Hyatt. The Grand Hyatt in Kaui was great. Got a side trip to Costco in Kaui also for a hot dog and gas headed back to ATL. Kaui is great but can be pricey since the island is not that populated. For myself, Maui is still the best mix for myself IMO.

The Fam Jamz - Thanks Giving / Christmas 2023

Everyone is getting a little older, such is life. Though still very fortunate the big extended family here around ATL is still around. Got to spend Thanks Giving and Christmas around with a big group of family and friends which is always great.

Went axe-throwing for the first time with my cousins. Celebrated at my parent’s house in Suwanee aka S-Town and got a giant Chick Fil A Pillow as a gift!

Costco let me in early one Saturday at 9am vs 930am. Walking around an empty fully stocked Costco was interesting.
Finally got to experience the Georgia Tech Club at the GT vs UGA Game 2023. As a student used to look over at that section and ponder “what do those rich alumnus do to sit there…”.
Neighbor put up a giant Skeleton [10ft+] outside.
Keeping the cars looking fresh continues from 2023 to 2024.
Went to a Buc-ee’s for the first time.
Had dinner in McLean, VA with some great friends.

The Werks

The work front has been good. Team has been expanding at Harness and always have to balance IC/Manager responsibilities. Excited to see how the year will pan out.

Gearing Up for 2024 Travel

Depending on travel pundit you listen do, booking ahead can be good or bad. My experience around Black Friday / Cyber Monday in the Holiday Season in 2023 proved really great, got a few upcoming trips thanks to that.

1. Been a minute since in SE Asia [2019]. Ready to connect with friends!
